IS IT YOU?
One assumption comes up quite often when people start thinking about launching their own recruitment business.
That the biggest barrier will be ability.
But in many conversations with recruiters who are already considering independence, that’s rarely where the hesitation sits.
Most already know they can do the work.
What tends to slow the decision down is everything around the work.
Family responsibilities, financial stability, or the comfort that comes with a predictable structure.
At that point, the decision becomes less about capability and more about life design.
The real question isn’t usually “Can I build a business?”
It’s more often “Is this the right moment in my life to change how I work?”
Many future founders spend time in that space.
Not because they lack the ability, but because the decision touches far more than just the job itself.
